
A new golden chapter has been added in the global expansion of Sanatan culture, yoga and modern education. A historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed in Indonesia between Patanjali Yogpeeth and Universitas Hindu Negeri (UHN), the only Hindu university in Indonesia. This partnership will not only build an academic and research bridge between the two countries, but will also prove to be a milestone in reviving the glory of Sanatan and Yoga on the soil of Bali.
This agreement, signed under the leadership of Patanjali University Vice-Chancellor Acharya Balkrishna, presents a unique model of culture-based development at the global level.
Consensus on academic and yoga research
The management committee, led by Professor Dr. Gusti Ngurah Sudiana and Professor Made Purnama, UHN, warmly welcomed Acharya Balkrishna and the team of Patanjali. Expressing happiness over this intimacy, Acharya said that Patanjali will very soon start work on a large scale to restore education, yoga and Sanatan culture in Indonesia. Bali’s MLA Dr. Somveer, the only MLA of Indian tradition, was also present on this occasion.

Indonesian Vice President expressed his desire
Bali Province Assembly Speaker Dewa Made Mahayadnya highly praised the high quality products of Patanjali. Expressing his cordiality towards Acharya Shri, he expressed his desire to visit India (Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar) very soon, which shows his deep cultural love for India.
In the presence of Acharya Balkrishna, he expressed his desire to work with Patanjali in the fields of education, health and agriculture. On behalf of Patanjali, Acharya Balkrishna also agreed to carry forward his culture-based development methods in Bali.
From Bali to Mala village of Uttarakhand
Acharya Balakrishna deeply studied the culture, civilization and environment of Bali island. He especially saw how decoration and development could be done without harming nature. He said that on the lines of ‘eco-friendly development model’, he will also develop Dhanvantari Dham Mala village under Pauri district of Uttarakhand.
On this historic occasion, while the Sadhvi sisters of Patanjali gave a beautiful presentation of bhajans, the Indonesian artistes in their traditional style presented yoga and captivating dances, enlivening the common cultural heritage of both the countries.
Acharya Balkrishna became the state guest
Let us tell you that Patanjali Yogpeeth’s General Secretary Acharya Balkrishna is on a visit to Indonesia. During his stay, Acharya reached Bali Province and met Bali Province Assembly Speaker Dewa Made Mahayadnya and Bali MLA Dr. Somveer. Earlier, the Chairman of Bali Province warmly welcomed Acharya. He extended hospitality to Acharya as a state guest and made all the arrangements for his visit to the herbal garden.
During the meeting, Deva Made said that the development model of Patanjali Yogpeeth is an example for the whole world today. Patanjali is setting records in various fields like education, medicine, health, agriculture, information and technology, research etc. He said that very soon we will do big work with joint efforts. Acharya also said that the service work of Patanjali is an example for the whole world today.
Services will soon expand in Indonesia
He said that soon we will expand our services in Indonesia, which will benefit the common people here. Patanjali Yogpeeth will work to upgrade Yoga, Ayurveda, education, medicine, agriculture and research in Indonesia through innovation, which will also provide employment to the youth of Indonesia. On this occasion, Acharya also visited the herbal garden.
