England vs New Zealand 1st Test: A 3-match test series is being played between England and New Zealand. England defeated New Zealand in the first Test match played at the historic ground of Lord’s. With this victory, while England has made a great start in the home Test series, the New Zealand team had to suffer a huge loss due to this defeat. After this defeat, big upheavals have been seen in the points table of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

England defeated New Zealand in a one-sided manner

In this match, the batsmen of both the teams had to face a lot of problems on the green and helpful pitch of Lord’s. The fast bowlers completely dominated during the match. England’s bowlers took advantage of the home conditions very well and did not give New Zealand’s strong batting line-up any chance to survive. The England team could score only 140 runs in the first innings of this match. But England’s bowlers restricted New Zealand to 113 runs and made a strong comeback for the team.

Amazing batting was seen from England in the second innings. The team scored 226 runs, in which Emilio Gay made an important contribution of 57 runs. Jamie Smith also played an inning of 39 runs. At the same time, Ollie Robinson took the team to this score by scoring 29 runs. Due to which England set a target of 253 runs for New Zealand. But the New Zealand team was all out after scoring 138 runs and England won the match by 115 runs.

At the same time, South Africa team has come at second place and Sri Lankan team has come at third place. But the England team still remains at 7th position.
