Recently something like this happened in Hollywood, where famous British pop star Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner got married during a private ceremony in London. After this, the couple hosted a huge wedding celebration that lasted for three days in beautiful Sicily, Italy.
According to reports, about 1.7 million dollars i.e. approximately Rs 16.51 crore was spent on this luxurious wedding. However, the wedding which was going to be the most spectacular celebration of this year, has now come under the scanner of controversies. Actually, the administration had made very strict arrangements to maintain the privacy of the guests coming to this high-profile wedding, due to which people had to face problems.
People looked very angry
Special venues like the historic Villa Valguarnera and the Galleria d’Arte Moderna were chosen for the wedding events. Due to VIP security, many main roads of Palermo city were closed, flying of drones was banned and the general public was banned from visiting many main places. The local people there became very angry with this decision of the administration. People say that it is absolutely wrong to disturb the general public by shutting down the entire city just for the private party of some rich and famous personalities. After this people came to the streets and started protesting. People said that this city is not anyone’s private line.

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s damages
To calm the matter, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner also offered compensation of 5,000 pounds i.e. Rs 6.3 lakh to the families facing parking problems. But people’s anger still did not subside. Reports say that on one hand this couple flaunts their simplicity in the media, and on the other hand they are wasting crores of rupees like water by harassing the general public. However, despite this huge opposition, the wedding celebration went on as per schedule, which was attended by music legend Elton John as well as celebrities like Donatella Versace and Mark Ronson.
