Redmi is going to launch its Turbo series in the Indian market. The company has officially confirmed that Redmi Turbo 5 will be launched in India on June 16. Many features of the phone have been revealed before the launch, which include a large 7560mAh battery, 100W fast charging and MediaTek’s new Dimension 8500 Ultra processor. It is believed that this smartphone will make a strong claim in the premium mid-range segment. The phone will give direct competition to OnePlus Nord 6 and Nothing Phone 3A.
Special focus will be on display and performance
Based on the model launched in China, Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to have a 6.59 inch flat AMOLED display. This screen can come with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, which will improve the gaming and video watching experience. The smartphone is likely to be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimension 8500 Ultra processor, which can be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This hardware combination will help in giving the phone fast performance and better multitasking capabilities. Along with this, Xiaomi’s new software experience is also expected to be available in the device out of the box.
Big upgrade will be available in battery and charging
The biggest feature of Redmi Turbo 5 may be its large 7560mAh battery. At present, this capacity is considered much higher than that of most smartphones. Due to the large battery, users are expected to get long backup time, whether they are gaming, watching videos or multitasking. Along with this, the company can also provide 100W wired fast charging support, so that the phone can be charged faster in less time. This feature can prove to be especially useful for those users who use their phones continuously and want to avoid the problem of frequent charging.
Camera setup and price
In the camera department, Redmi Turbo 5 is likely to get a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera can be provided with it, while a 20-megapixel front camera is expected for selfie and video calling. The phone can be offered with IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, so that it will be protected from dust, water splashes and high pressure water exposure. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will be launched in India on June 16 and will be available for sale via Amazon India. According to leaked reports, its price can be kept less than Rs 50,000. The phone is expected to be offered in white, green and black color options.
