Cavity in teeth is a very common problem which is seen in most of the children. Due to this, severe pain and swelling also occur and if timely attention is not given, the infection may increase. Because of this, decay can reach other teeth also. You can prevent cavity buildup in children by adopting some daily oral hygiene habits.

The main reason for cavity in teeth is not paying attention to proper hygiene and excessive exposure of teeth to sugar. Bacteria and sugar together cause tooth decay, which also damages the enamel. There are 5 habits which if you develop in children, they will be protected from cavities.

Brush twice a day

Children should develop the habit of brushing twice a day, after waking up in the morning and before sleeping at night. In fact, brushing after dinner at night removes the food particles stuck between the teeth and prevents decay. Similarly, when you sleep at night, you do not drink water, due to which less saliva is produced and bacteria grow, hence it is very important to brush your teeth in the morning.

Get into the habit of gargling

The habit of gargling should also be inculcated in children. For example, if they eat anything, then rinse with water so that food particles do not accumulate in the mouth and the bacteria also get cleaned. This provides great protection from rot.
