Scammers come up with new tricks to steal your hard-earned money. Many people get calls from unknown numbers every day, but there are some calls which when you pick up and say hello, there is no voice from the front and we think that maybe there is a problem with the network, but this problem is not of the network but of the trap laid by scammers. Cyber Dost has also shared the post from the official X account and informed that this is actually a Silent Call Scam.
What is Silent Call Scam?
While sharing the post, Cyber Dost has said that scammers use automated systems to make thousands of calls. As soon as you answer the call and say Hello, the scammers come to know that the number is active and your number is marked active. After this the call gets disconnected and then your mobile number is added to the target list for scams.
What to do if you receive Silent Scam Calls?

- It is very important to remember some important things, disconnect the call immediately.
- Block unknown recurring numbers.
- Visit NCRP (National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal) and report suspicious numbers through the Check and Report section.

If no one is answering you when you receive an unknown silent call, then do not make the mistake of calling back.

Cyber Dost has informed that for assistance call the helpline number 1930. If the number of calls on the helpline number is high, it may take some time, please register a complaint on http://cybercrime.gov.in. While making complaint, write complete information so that your complaint can be processed immediately.
