Apple is going to present iOS 27 in its annual developer event WWDC 2026. This event is tomorrow i.e. 8th June i.e. today. This time the company’s focus is expected to be on artificial intelligence, better performance and smart features instead of major changes in design. According to reports, the new Siri will be more intelligent than before and will be able to understand the needs of users better. Apart from this, many new AI based features can also be seen in camera, photos, shortcuts and writing tools. Its final version is expected to be released for general users in September 2026.
The new Siri will be more intelligent than before
The biggest attraction of iOS 27 may be the new Siri. According to reports, Apple is going to equip its virtual assistant with generative AI technology, so that it will be able to work like modern AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini. The new Siri can remember the user’s previous conversations and can also give suggestions on that basis. Apart from this, a separate Siri Chatbot app can also be seen, where users will be able to interact with files, photos and other content. It is being told that Siri will now bring a new interface inside the Dynamic Island instead of the old design visible at the bottom of the screen, which will make its experience more modern.
AI features will change iPhone experience
According to reports, the scope of Apple Intelligence will be further expanded in iOS 27. Users can get facilities like AI based web search, smart writing assistant and creating shortcuts in natural language. A new feature called “Write with Siri” will allow users to seek AI help directly from the keyboard. The new grammar checking tool will give suggestions to improve the text. Apple is also reportedly preparing a system in which users will be able to create shortcuts just by writing their needs. This can significantly reduce the need for complex settings and manual configuration. This update is being considered a big step towards making iPhone more smart and productive.
Big changes can be found in Camera and Photos app
The camera app is also expected to get a new look with iOS 27. According to reports, users will be able to customize the camera interface as per their needs and choose which features appear on the screen. There can also be integration of visual intelligence in the camera app, through which the camera will be able to recognize any object or information and provide information related to it. There is a possibility of new editing tools like “Enhance”, “Extend” and “Reframe” coming in the Photos app. With their help, the quality of the photo can be improved, the part outside the frame can be generated with AI and the angle of the photo can also be changed.
Release timeline and supported devices
Apple may show the first glimpse of iOS 27 during WWDC 2026 on June 8. After this, the developer beta version is expected to be released, while the public beta may come in July 2026. The final update can be rolled out with new iPhone models in September 2026. According to reports, iPhone 12 series and subsequent models may get support for iOS 27. However, this last update will not come for iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone SE second generation. The new system is also being designed keeping in mind Apple’s possible foldable iPhone, which can improve the experience of multitasking and app layout on larger displays.
