The party has expelled Congress candidate Sahebrao Kamble from Yavatmal and Congress candidate Shailesh Aggarwal from Chandrapur-Wardha-Gadchiroli region, who withdrew their nomination in the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections. Both the leaders had withdrawn their nominations at the last moment, after which the Congress leadership considered it a violation of party discipline and took strict action.

Congress The official candidate Shailesh Aggarwal had withdrawn his nomination. On the last date for withdrawal of nomination, he reached the District Collector’s office and withdrew his application.
After this, independent candidate Sudhir Kothari also withdrew his nomination, paving the way for Mahayuti Party candidate Arun Lakhani to be elected unopposed. According to sources, the District Collector has informed the Election Department about withdrawal of nominations of both the candidates and it has been made clear that Lakhani has been elected unopposed.
Stir in Congress due to withdrawal of nominations
After the announcement of his candidature by Congress, Shailesh Aggarwal started preparations to contest the elections. However, he said he ultimately decided to withdraw his name after realizing that his chances of victory were slim given the population density of the constituency.
Interestingly, it has come to light that while taking this decision, he did not give any prior information to the local Congress leaders and workers. This has created a huge stir in the party and created an atmosphere of dissatisfaction among the workers. After withdrawing the application, while talking to the media, Aggarwal clarified that he was withdrawing from the election due to insufficient numbers. He also claimed that he has informed the senior leadership of the party about this decision.
This time he has made serious allegations against some Congress leaders, which has created a stir in the political circles. Shailesh Aggarwal has alleged that some people of Congress are distributing money among the voters in collusion with some BJP leaders. After this, Congress took action and expelled him from the party.

On the other hand, Sanjay Raut posted on X and claimed that on the last day of withdrawal of nominations for Maharashtra Legislative Council elections, 6 out of 17 seats became unopposed due to withdrawal of nominations by the opposition. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut shared a video of the withdrawal of nomination from Konkan seat.
V.Council Election:
There was unopposed clash throughout the day and for this Maghar Natya Yavar, at least Rs 150 crores were spent in one day.
