ASI Hitesh of Sector-39 police station, Chandigarh has been arrested red-handed by CBI in a bribery case. CBI has laid a trap and arrested ASI while taking bribe of Rs 50 thousand. Actually, the ASI was demanding bribe from a person in the name of getting his car released. On receiving the complaint, CBI laid a trap and caught the ASI. However, this is not the first case, CBI action has been seen before this also. In one case, CBI had arrested a railway clerk while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Complainant Amardeep said that his car was seized by the police after a road accident. Orders to release the vehicle were obtained from the district court. Even after Court’s order, ASI was not releasing the vehicle. The complainant told that the accused ASI had demanded a bribe of Rs 50 thousand.
What was the matter?
Amardeep told that ASI had demanded Rs 50 thousand in the name of getting the vehicle released. But somehow he agreed to take Rs 40 thousand. The complainant informed the CBI about this. CBI investigated the complaint and on that basis laid a trap and exposed the entire matter.
CBI caught red handed
According to the information, as soon as the accused ASI reached to take the bribe amount, the CBI team caught him. CBI has taken him with itself, who will now be presented in the court. CBI is continuously taking action against bribery. This action of CBI has created a stir in the police department.
This is the second action in the last five days in the bribery case of Chandigarh CBI. Earlier on June 2, the clerk of Kalka Railway Station was also arrested while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.
