BCL 2026: Gujarat Diamonds get their third win, defeat MP Tigers by 4 wickets

In the 12th match of the second season of Big Cricket League (BCL), Gujarat Diamonds defeated MP Tigers by 4 wickets in a thrilling match. This high-scoring match, played at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida, was decided in the last overs, which kept the audience engaged till the end. On this special occasion, Dr. Abhishek Verma, Chief National Coordinator of Shiv Sena and NDA alliance, participated as the chief guest. He encouraged the players on the field and praised the unique vision of this league.

The beginning of the match was good for Gujarat Diamonds when the captain won the toss and decided to bowl first. However, MP Tigers batted well and scored a huge score of 192 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of MP Tigers, Jessel Karia played an aggressive innings and scored 72 runs in just 36 balls. For this brilliant performance he was also chosen as ‘Player of the Match’. Apart from them, Sarul Kanwar won the first bronze medal by scoring 30 runs in 17 balls and Aryan Antriksh won the second bronze buzzer by scoring 32 runs in 22 balls.

Gujarat won in the last over

This target was not easy for Gujarat Diamonds and hence the team batted with a balanced style and excellent combination of aggression. The team’s amateur player Alas Khan laid the foundation of victory by playing a strong inning of 68 runs in 40 balls. He also received a silver buzzer for this performance. Then former Indian all-rounder Pawan Negi showed his magic, who scored an explosive inning of 34 runs in just 18 balls. Gujarat registered its third win of the season by achieving the target in 19.2 overs. Whereas MP has faced its third consecutive defeat.

Dr. Abhishek Verma, who was the chief guest in this match, praised the Big Cricket League and said that this league has become not only a means of entertainment but also a powerful medium for the youth to show their abilities. In particular, he praised the confidence of amateur players and called it a sign of the bright future of Indian cricket. The league’s chief patron Puneet Singh also expressed happiness after the match and said that his aim has always been to bridge the gap between amateur and professional cricket.
