Backrooms India Release: Hollywood horror film ‘Obsession’ is making waves in the world these days. From India to abroad, there is a lot of craze for this film among the audience and due to this, ‘Obsession’ has earned more than Rs 1400 crore so far. Amidst the craze of ‘Obsession’, another horror movie ‘Backrooms’ was released, which broke earning records as soon as it came out. After ‘Obsession’, the Indian audience was eagerly waiting for ‘Backrooms’. But now Indian fans will have to wait for this film, because its release date has been postponed and this film will now hit the theaters in India on June 12.
The much awaited horror film ‘Backrooms’ was scheduled to be released in India on May 29, but PVR INOX Pictures postponed its release date because currently ‘Obsession’ is busy at the box office and to give it good screen time, the release of ‘Backrooms’ has been postponed for a few days.
When will Backrooms release?
20 year old YouTuber Ken Parsons’ ‘Backrooms’ was released on May 29 and it was to hit the theaters in India on May 29 only. After ‘Obsession’, Indian fans were eagerly waiting for its release. If you are also its fan then you will have to wait for a few more days to see ‘Backrooms’. A24’s horror film ‘Backrooms’ directed by Ken Parsons will now be released in Indian theaters on June 12, 2026 through PVR INOX Pictures. ‘Backrooms’ has so far earned more than Rs 1300 crore worldwide.
Backrooms postponed due to obsession
According to media reports, the change in the release date of ‘Backrooms’ has been made in view of the tremendous box office success of ‘Obsession’. This horror film by Kari Barker was released worldwide on 15 May and it hit Indian theaters on 29 May. ‘Obsession’, made with a budget of Rs 9.5 crore, has so far made a worldwide collection of Rs 1400 crore. ‘Obsession’ is also earning well at the Indian box office. By the sixth day in India, ‘Obsession’ had earned Rs 15.26 crore net and Rs 18.12 crore gross. The film grossed more than $148 million worldwide.
