
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Dheeraj Seth visited Gajraj Corps on Thursday and took stock of its operational preparedness and combat readiness. During this, the COAS was briefed about the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and capacity building initiatives taken by the units and formations of the Eastern Command in the area. He also reviewed the steps taken by the formation to maintain peace, stability and secure environment in the area.
The COAS was informed about the close coordination of the Corps with the civil administration and Central Armed Police Forces through development work, community outreach programs and continuous support to local authorities.

Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth appreciated the formation’s significant contribution in maintaining internal security in Assam and Meghalaya as well as their prompt and effective action during disaster relief and humanitarian assistance operations. Interacting with the soldiers, General Dheeraj Seth praised their professionalism, high morale and dedication to duty.

He also appreciated the formation’s effective adoption of new methods and emerging technology to enhance operational capability. The COAS called upon all ranks to maintain mission focus, strengthen inter-agency coordination and maintain the highest standards of operational preparedness to effectively meet emerging security challenges in the changing multi-domain environment.
