
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday inaugurated 45 new Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs for different areas of the capital from Shakurpur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that today is an important milestone for the health sector of Delhi. This is not just the inauguration of new health centres, but also an important step towards providing quality, accessible and respectable health services to every citizen of the capital.
He said that the aim of the government is that no citizen should have to travel long distances for general health services and people should get better treatment on time.
On this occasion, Trinagar MLA Tilak Ram Gupta, many public representatives, health department officials, doctors, nursing staff and a large number of local citizens were present.
Target to open more than 1,100 Ayushman centers
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Said that with today’s inauguration, more than 415 Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs in Delhi are providing quality and accessible primary health services to the people near their homes. He expressed confidence that the Delhi government will soon meet its target of setting up more than 1,100 Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs.
The Chief Minister said that in these Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs, general OPD, maternal and child health services, regular vaccination, free testing of non-communicable diseases, essential medicines, health counseling and about 80 types of free testing facilities are being provided to the citizens. He said that in addition, special attention will be given to disease prevention, early detection, timely treatment and health awareness in these centres.
He said that the aim of the government is not only to cure diseases but also to promote healthy lifestyle among the people. He also called upon citizens to get regular health checkups done, adopt a balanced lifestyle and make yoga and exercise a part of their daily routine.
Trinagar got the gift of development projects
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also inaugurated various development projects worth about Rs 14.25 crore in Trinagar assembly constituency after the Shakurpur program. Under these projects, reconstruction works of five roads and a drain in Netaji Subhash Place area were also started.
Apart from this, the beautification work of Samrat Enclave Market was started. Besides, the development works of Gurjar Chaupal, Saini Chaupal and Shakurpur cremation ground were also inaugurated by the Chief Minister. Along with this, eight major roads developed by PWD at a cost of Rs 6.25 crore, Lawrence Road, Maharishi Parshuram Marg, Parwana Road, G and H Shakurpur Road, Eklavya Marg, Thiruvalluvar Marg, Veer Hemu and other roads were also inaugurated.
