Amidst the news of Rohit Sharma’s retirement, R Ashwin has raised questions on the thinking and atmosphere of Team India and BCCI. According to R Ashwin, the players in Team India should be thrown out after proper discussion. Ashwin said in simple gestures that there is no direct conversation with the players. Ashwin raised questions on BCCI and Team India and said that players’ careers can also end on a good note.
Ashwin said a big thing
R Ashwin On the speculations about Rohit Sharma’s retirement, he said in his show, ‘Look, anyone can be dropped from the team. That is the job of the selector, captain and coach. If dropped, the player may ask what should I do to get back into the team. If there is no work then you will have to leave, if you have reached age then you will have to leave.
Ashwin further said, ‘My point is that there should be direct conversation with the player. This can happen in a good way. If you see in big companies, they fire their employees. But if there is someone at the senior level who has given a lot to the company, then talks with them should be done in a good manner. Ashwin said, ‘If someone has played well for you for two decades, has won so many matches, then you should talk to him in a good manner, show him the way in a good manner. Removing him from the team can also be done in a better way.
YOUR THOUGHTS???
Ravichandran Ashwin gives a great example of communication when it comes to remove a top guy like Rohit Sharma.
And I think he is absolutely right about it. Rohit Sharma deserved better treatment from the selectors.
