Amid the Ram Temple offering theft scandal, questions have also been raised on the purchase of land by the Trust. Champat Rai bought land worth crores of rupees for the trust and the trust money was distributed with open arms. The Trust purchased land worth Rs 85 crore in Shahnawajpur Manjha, 6 km from the Ram Mandir complex, and gave it to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Gaushala, on which green fodder is now cultivated.
These lands were purchased in 2023 and till now no further construction or Temple Trust From this point of view it was not seen being used. In such a situation, the question arises that he bought this land worth Rs 85 crore to grow green fodder?
Congress leader Sharad Shukla is the first to raise the issue of this land. After this, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, former SP MLA Pawan Pandey and Santosh Dubey have also raised the issue of purchase of this land.
Fodder is sent to the cowshed of Karsevakpuram
There are boards of Shri Ram Gaushala Samiti installed at various places in Karsevakapuram. Champat Rai is its president. About 100 cows are present in this cowshed. The society was registered in the year 2000 and since then its president is Champat Rai. This society has nothing to do with Ram Mandir Trust.
VHP leaders who look after the work of the cow shed also say this. They also believe that the work of growing green fodder on the trust land is being done for the cow shed. Earlier we used to buy green fodder. Now the trust vehicle brings fodder from Shahnewajpur daily and delivers it to the cow shed. Apart from this, this cow shelter has no connection with Ram temple.
Land purchased at 6 times higher price
Running a cowshed and helping in the cowshed is an act of virtue. There is no doubt about it, but perhaps this will be the only cow shed in the country, for which Ram Mandir Trust has given land worth Rs 85 crore for growing green fodder. Champat Rai bought this land from the Bansal family in 2023, 6 kilometers away from Ram Mandir, at a price 6 times more than the market rate.
Tanvi Bansal’s husband Manish Bansal, from whom the land was purchased, said in a phone conversation that he gave the land to the trust and whatever he got, he accepted it as Prasad. He has received Prasad worth Rs 29 crore 67 lakh, which will be the most expensive Prasad in the world till date.
