
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a post on Tuesday on completion of 12 years of his tenure. PM Modi said that the last 12 years of our government have been dedicated to trust, development and public welfare. With the blessings of 140 crore countrymen and the spirit of nation first, we have left no stone unturned in empowering the youth, women and our farmer brothers and sisters.
PM Modi further said that it is the result of our tireless efforts that today the country has got a new identity across the world, from infrastructure to digital revolution. To realize the vision of a developed India, we will continue to move forward on this path of service, good governance and prosperity. On 26 May 2014, PM Modi took oath as Prime Minister for the first time.

PM Modi broke Pandit Nehru’s record
On June 9, 2024, he took oath as PM for the third consecutive time. With this he broke Pandit Nehru’s record of holding the post of PM for the longest period in independent India. He has become the leader who has been elected Prime Minister for the longest tenure of the country. By June 9, 2026, 4398 days of his tenure have been completed. Now he has become the Prime Minister with the longest tenure.
