
In the first half-yearly meeting of the All India Executive and Delegation, Chairperson Sita Gayatri said that India has the necessary resources, both people and money, to become a developed nation. But by understanding this power, we have to awaken the feeling of surrendering ourselves at the feet of the country. He said that on the occasion of Lakshmibai Kelkar’s (aunt’s) birthday i.e. Sankalp Diwas, a resolution has to be taken to continuously take forward the work of women power awakening which has been going on for the last 90 years in the form of committee work.
In the first half-yearly meeting of the All India Executive and Delegation of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Sita Gayatri said that the Indian plane arriving in Iran with medical aid is a direct example of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. India’s gold medal in the International Chemistry Olympiad and its spectacular victory in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup are indicative of India’s growing influence in different fields. Rashtra Sevika Samiti was started in 1936 by Laxmibai Kelkar (aunt) in Wardha.
500 women representatives from 38 provinces are participating
Meanwhile, this meeting, which will last for 3 days from Friday (July 24), started at Madhav Smriti Complex in Samalkha, Haryana in the presence of Vandania chief organizer Shanta Kumari and chief organizer Sita Gayatri. About 500 representatives from 38 provinces are expected to attend this meeting of the committee.

The meeting started after lighting the lamp by paying tribute to former All India Collaborators of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Rukmani Akka and Rekhatai Raje. Along with this, the representatives also paid tribute to other deceased workers of the committee, Asha Bhosle, Suman Kalyanpur, S Janaki, as well as those killed in the terrorist attack last year, army personnel and those who lost their lives in accidents and natural disasters.

Hostel for girls, 15 thousand training
In the inaugural session, chief executive Sita Gayatri told about the committee work. Also reviewed from education sections. The number of branches, meeting centres, branched districts and service work of the committee has increased. Service work is going on at 2866 places. Service work is done in the form of various projects in the field of education, culture, self-reliance and health and yoga centers are also being run at many places.

Not only this, hostels are being run for girls coming from remote areas. This year 2026, 250 sessions were organized at different places across the country in which about 15,241 maids received training.
This year, after a long gap, the volunteers of the committee organized a path operation in West Bengal. Despite heavy rain and storm in the education sector of Jammu, the maids presented an amazing scene of indomitable courage by standing firm in the field. During Vandania Chief Operator’s stay in Chhattisgarh province, he held a social harmony meeting with women from about 25 different communities.
On the occasion of Global Women’s Day, a conference named ‘Nari Se Narayani’ was organized by Rashtra Sevika Samiti in collaboration with the Indian Council of Education at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. In which more than 1500 women from across the country participated. Guidance was received from President Draupadi Murmu at the conclusion of the program.
Various level officials of the committee are present in this meeting going on in Samalkha, Haryana. The meeting will conclude on 26th July.
