Odisha Temple Mystery: In many parts of the country, the scorching heat of June is making life difficult for people. At some places the temperature is reaching beyond 45 degrees and at some places the heat wave is forcing people to stay in their homes. But meanwhile, there is also a temple in Odisha, everyone is surprised to know about it. Here, there is scorching heat outside the temple, whereas as soon as one steps inside, one feels such coolness that people feel the need to cover themselves with blankets. This Shiva-Parvati temple located in Titlagarh area of Odisha has remained a topic of discussion for years due to its unique mystery. Along with the local people, devotees coming from far away places also come here to experience this miraculous experience.
The temple is built in an area with 55 degree temperature
This temple is situated on Kumhada mountain of Titlagarh. Titlagarh is counted among the hottest areas of Odisha. During summer the temperature here sometimes reaches 50 to 55 degrees Celsius. Due to the rocky rocks and hot environment, it becomes difficult to even stand outside during the day. The surprising thing is that the weather feels completely different inside the Shiva-Parvati temple built on this scorching hill. As soon as you enter the temple premises, you feel a cool breeze and the temperature inside is much lower than outside.
Remains cool without AC and fan
Whereas in today’s time, AC and cooler are used for cooling, there is no such arrangement in this temple. There are neither air conditioners nor big fans installed here. Despite this, it remains naturally cool inside the temple. Local people say that the more the heat increases, the more coolness is felt inside the temple. This is the reason why this place remains a cause of interest for scientists and researchers even today.
What do the temple priests say?
The priests of the temple and local devotees believe that this amazing coolness is generated by the divine statues of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati installed here. He says that as the heat of the sun increases outside, the coldness inside the temple also increases. According to the priests, sometimes even during the peak of summer, the atmosphere inside the temple becomes so cold that they too have to cover themselves with blankets. This experience surprises the people who come here.
