
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann handed over licenses to 2,800 new depot holders in Mohali. On this occasion, he said that this is not just a license but an obligation to serve the public. He appealed to the new depot holders to behave honestly and respectfully with the needy, elderly, disabled and poor families.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Said that every decision taken by the government is taken keeping in mind the welfare of the public and the tax collected from the public is being spent only on public facilities.
Those who loot call themselves protectors – Maan
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, while targeting the previous governments, said that those who looted Punjab with both hands, kept calling themselves the protectors of the state. He said that people who once praised him are now criticizing him because he has broken old political traditions.
He said that as long as he has public support, he will not be afraid of anyone. He also said that the development work done in Punjab is now being discussed in foreign countries also.
Improvement in education and irrigation sectors
Talking about the achievements of his government, Chief Minister Mann said that within four years, Punjab has become the number one state in the education sector, leaving Kerala behind. He said that more than 80 percent of the canal water is being used for irrigation in Punjab. The water level has improved and the ground water level has increased by about 4 meters in many areas.
Accused of doing politics on religious issues
Taking aim at the opposition parties, Bhagwant Mann said that they are unable to compete politically and are now trying to tarnish their image by using religion. He said that those who put up boycott posters should have first gone to their homes and filled the form of Matri-Putri Samman Yojana.
