
The Odyssey Box Office: Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ has made waves not only across the world but also at the Indian box office. The film has received excellent response since its inception. The picture is continuously earning good money and has also been seen causing a lot of damage to Bollywood and South films. Now look at Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jan Neta’. That film was released yesterday, which has made a good start at the box office. But it was expected that the actor’s last film would open at Rs 100 crore. Well, even after the arrival of ‘Jan Neta’, ‘The Odyssey’ has not suffered any significant loss. The Indian gross collection of the film has reached Rs 107.22 crore. That means the film has hit a century in India.
SACNILC’s report has come out. According to which, Christopher Nolan’s ‘The odyssey’ It has made a business of Rs 6.15 crore from the Indian box office on the seventh day. Also, the total number of shows last day was 11,111 and the occupancy rate was also 33.9 percent. Actually, the film did a business of Rs 5 crore in English last day, where the occupancy was 57 percent and a total of 5,651 shows were booked. Whereas, Rs 85 lakh was earned from Hindi and the total shows were 4,372. Whereas, business of Rs 5 lakh has been done from Tamil and Rs 25 lakh from Telugu. Actually the occupancy rate of Tamil has been better than Hindi.
How much did business decrease last day?
In fact, while the total earning from India on Wednesday was Rs 6.50 crore, it was only Rs 6.15 crore on the previous day i.e. Thursday. Due to which the total business decreased by 5.4 percent. Whereas, Indian net collection has now reached Rs 90.30 crore. It is expected that Rs 100 crore will be collected from here also in the weekend. When the film was released, it did a business of Rs 17.40 crore. After which the collection was Rs. 22 crores on the second day, Rs. 21.90 crores on the third day and Rs. 8 crores on the fourth day. At the same time, on the fifth day the earning was Rs 8.25 crore, on the sixth day it was Rs 6.50 crore and on the seventh day the earning was Rs 6.15 crore. The good thing is that even now the film is earning more than Rs 5 crore.
‘The Odyssey’ has earned a whopping $18.05 million at the domestic box office on Wednesday. The collection was only 16 percent less than Tuesday’s $21.4 million. Yesterday proved to be the second best Wednesday for Christopher Nolan at the domestic box office. Earlier on July 23, 2008, ‘The Dark Knight’ had earned 18.3 million dollars. The film has so far made a business of more than 300 million dollars i.e. Rs 2,895 crore from the worldwide box office.
