Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray targeted the central and state governments over the student agitation and violence related to the paper leak. He said that democracy and the Constitution are being flouted in the country and the people in power are ruling arbitrarily. Uddhav Thackeray said that when the youth of the country pick up stones in their hands to seek justice, they are called terrorists. Quoting Bal Thackeray, he said that if justice is not given as per the constitutional procedure and rules, then ‘justice should be taken by beating below the ear’. Thackeray said that students have also done the same for their rights and justice.
Uddhav Thackeray also criticized the central government on the issue of delimitation and said that he has a clear opinion that instead of increasing the number of MPs, the government should focus on creating employment opportunities for the youth. He said that what the country needs now is not delimitation but employment generation. If the government provides employment to the youth, then the same youth will give it their all.
Along with this, while targeting the government, he also said that its policy is ‘use and throw’. Thackeray said that the government had also thought the same about him, but Uddhav Thackeray cannot be eliminated, rather Uddhav Thackeray will bury you.
Mentioned the legacy received from Balasaheb Thackeray
Actually, Uddhav Thackeray had gone to the launch of a book, where he mentioned the legacy he got from Balasaheb Thackeray and said that he is proud of this dynasty. Apart from this, he also said that instead of understanding the feelings of the youth, they are being ridiculed. He asked, will there not be anger in a country where youth are called cockroaches?
‘Women are beaten with sticks’
While referring to the Nari Shakti Bill, he said that the government should answer this contradiction, where women empowerment is announced, but on the other hand women are beaten with sticks. Today, slogans of old power are being raised more than youth power in the country. He said that youth power is the future of the country and only it can do the work of nation building. Taking aim at the government, he said that today democracy is being weakened, yet the government is ruling carelessly.
