Sonam Wangchuk is refusing to take fluids and glucose despite doctors’ advice, know how her health is today

Sonam Wangchuk Health Update: Activist Sonam Wangchuk has been admitted to Safdarganj Hospital in Delhi for the last four days. He was admitted on 18th July. His fast is still continuing. Today is the 24th day of his hunger strike. Sonam, admitted in the hospital, is refusing to take fluids and glucose despite the advice of doctors. His health bulletin has been issued by the hospital. It has been said that the vital health parameters of Sonam Wangchuk are stable. However, his blood sugar is still low.

In last night’s blood test his potassium level was found to be 3.2 mEq low. Besides, he has the problem of pancytopenia, that is, all the blood cells have decreased. Doctors are giving him ORS and potassium tablets. But despite repeated explanations, he is refusing to take IV fluids and glucose. His body is dehydrated, blood reports are still abnormal.

Constant monitoring and investigation of Sonam is very important

Apart from this, there is stress on the body due to fasting for a long time, hence constant monitoring and examination is very important so that any new problem can be caught quickly. All necessary treatment is being given to him and doctors are constantly monitoring his condition. Further treatment will be decided after looking at his health and reports.

Sonam Wangchuk has been on hunger strike for 24 days

Let us tell you that the wife of Dr. Gitanjali Angmo, wife of Sonam Wangchuk, who is on hunger strike for the last 24 days, wants to shift him to a private hospital. For this he had also filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. In this he had said that he did not trust Safdarganj. But the single bench of the High Court rejected his petition. Later he challenged this order in the division bench.
