Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, another big news has come to light. American and Saudi Arabian armies together carried out massive bombing in Iraq. Fighter planes from both countries have completely destroyed many weapons and logistics bases of Iran-backed militias in eastern Iraq. The US Central Command said that this joint action has been taken in response to Iran’s attack.
The US Central Command issued a statement saying that in the last 3 days, more than 30 drone attacks took place at the behest of the IRGC. In response, US and Saudi Arabian fighter planes attacked several militia weapons and equipment storage facilities in eastern Iraq. America warned that if IRGC and its allies do not stop these drone attacks, then America can take further action.
Drone attack again on Saudi oil bases!
Saudi Arabia said on Tuesday that it had downed drones launched by Iran-backed militias from Iraq for the second consecutive day. These drones were trying to target oil facilities in the eastern region of Saudi. After allegations of a similar attack on Monday, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi ordered security agencies to investigate.
Iraqi militia denies role
The Iraqi militia has denied any role in the drone attacks. Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an organization of Iran-backed groups, has called Saudi Arabia’s allegations completely false. He said that the attacks on Monday were carried out by Houthi rebels. The Houthis themselves have taken responsibility for the attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities. However, there was no immediate comment from Tehran.
Tension in the Middle East even after the war has stopped
Iran and America had stopped their fighting at the end of this week. But there is still a lot of tension. Officials say mediators have achieved some success in bringing the two countries back to talks. Iran said on Tuesday that in earlier attacks, America completely destroyed one of its airports and a maritime control tower. Apart from this, 12 bridges and 2 tunnels were also destroyed.
Even before the war started, Iran had closed its sea route. He fired on or threatened cargo ships and oil tankers. There was a temporary ceasefire between the two sides in June, but after that the fighting for the capture of Hormuz started again. America and Israel started war against Iran on 28 February. But his role was missing in this fight.
