A strict law on paper leaks has been approved by the Cabinet. Despite this, the students do not seem ready to end the protest. On Friday (July 24), a meeting was held between the representatives of the government and the Cockroach Janata Party. In the conversation, the Cockroach Party made it clear that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will have to be removed from the cabinet, only then the talks can move forward and the students can end the protest.
Party spokesperson Saurabh Das said that we have informed the government about the demands of the students. Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is necessary. This is the spirit of the movement.

Mallikarjun Kharge- Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, while talking to reporters outside the Rajya Sabha, said that Dharmendra Pradhan will resign. After that we will discuss the education system. If Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign, we will protest. Kharge then participated in a demonstration at the main gate of Parliament. There they raised slogans like give us justice and Modi government is a thief.
Rahul Gandhi- Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that the government wants us to participate in the discussion, but until there is resignation there is no question of participating in the discussion. Rahul said that the students have 3 demands, there will be no compromise on them. These include PM Modi’s apology in the House, resignation of the Education Minister and ensuring accountability of those who lathi-charged the students.
Akhilesh Yadav- SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the government should first take Pradhan’s resignation. He said that even if he is sworn in again after 15 days. Akhilesh said that the issue is about admitting the mistake and the government should accept its mistake.
Sonam Wangchuk- A statement has been given regarding the resignation of social activist Dharmendra Pradhan. Wangchuk said that if Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign, the government will suffer losses. If Pradhan resigns, it will only benefit him. This is not going to have any effect on the students.
Abhijeet Deepke- Cockroach Janata Party chief Deepek said that Sonam Wangchuk has ended her fast, but the fight will continue till the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. We will continue to demonstrate peacefully.
Why the demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation?
Cockroach Janata Party says that the papers of NEET-2024 and NEET-2026 were leaked during the tenure of Dharmendra Pradhan. Pradhan should take moral responsibility for this and resign, otherwise the government should dismiss him.
