Police had fired pellet guns on protesters in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi came forward with proof

During the demonstration in Delhi on July 20, the police used pellet guns on students. This disclosure has been made by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. On Friday, Rahul Gandhi reached a press conference carrying a student who was injured by a pellet gun during the protest. The student told his name as Sahil. According to Sahil, a pellet gun was used on him during the demonstration.

Rahul said that the evidence is in front of all of you. Delhi Police has so far rejected the issue of using pellet guns. Police say that pellet guns were not used during the demonstration.

Pellet guns were fired during the Parliament march on 20th July

According to Rahul Gandhi, on July 20, when students were protesting during the Parliament march, the police used pellet guns to control them. Generally, police do not use pellet guns on protesters.

In response to a question, the Home Ministry had said in 2018 that when all methods of crowd control are exhausted, then the police are allowed to use pellet guns.
