
A Pakistani infiltration attempt on Sunday along the International Border (IB) in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir was foiled by the Border Security Force (BSF). After which the Pakistanis who were trying to infiltrate ran away. After this, the security forces have taken possession of the entire area and launched a search operation.
According to the information, the Pakistani infiltrator crossed the international border in Bobiya area of Kathua and moved towards Indian territory. The BSF soldiers deployed on the border warned him several times, but he ignored the warnings and continued moving towards the border fencing. After this, BSF soldiers fired two rounds to stop the intruder.
It is being told that as soon as the firing took place, the intruder ran back towards Pakistan. After the incident, security forces have increased vigilance in the entire area and surveillance on the border has been tightened. At present there is no information about any casualty.
PoK citizen caught two weeks ago
About two weeks ago, Indian Army soldiers had caught a Pakistani infiltrator who had crossed the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on 28 June 2026. The intruder was identified as 31-year-old Raees Khan, a resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). It is said that the infiltrator was taken into custody in Balakot sector shortly after entering the Indian border.
Pakistanis interrogated
Even before this, in the last few days, more infiltrators have crossed the border and entered India. The army also immediately detained him. At present the police is interrogating the detained Pakistanis.
Suspicious Pakistani drone spotted
Meanwhile, a suspicious Pakistani drone was seen hovering over Indian territory for some time near the International Border (IB) in Jammu’s Samba district. According to officials, this drone was seen near Nandpur village. After this, Border Security Force (BSF), Army and Police together conducted a search operation. There was a suspicion that weapons or drugs might have been dropped through drones, but no suspicious thing was found during the search.
