Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday launched his sharp attack on the central government. He accused the government of taking cruel steps against the students protesting on the issue of NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. He said that the government can close food, metro, roads and shops, but this cannot stop paper leaks.
Rahul Gandhi has shared a post on social media, in which he attacked the government and said, ‘Metro closed, roads closed, shops closed, internet closed, even food items are closed. The government took these strict steps against the students who were protesting for their rights. But Modi ji, you could not stop one thing – paper leak.

Arvind Kejriwal also expressed his displeasure
In fact, Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has closed many metro stations of Delhi in view of the protest. Due to which the passengers have expressed their displeasure. At the same time, leaders have also raised questions regarding this. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had said on Wednesday (July 22) that young protesters will find some way to join the protests, even if all the metro stations are closed. At the same time, in a joint press conference with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, he criticized the closure of many metro stations.
Kejriwal had said that closing the metro station is wrong. He had said that the more the government tries to stop the students and protesters, the more the movement will increase. He had said that even if the government closes all the metro stations, the protesters will go on foot. These are youth. He had said that it would be better if the government listened to these young protesters.
DMRC closed 18 metro stations
Meanwhile, in view of security reasons and student protests in the national capital Delhi, 18 metro stations will remain closed on Saturday from 7:30 am till further orders. The metro stations that will remain closed include Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, Seva Tirtha, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, Jhandewalan and New Delhi. Will be kept closed for the general public, however, interchange facilities will continue at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat metro stations.

Below mentioned Metro stations will be closed from 07:30 AM tomorrow (25th July, 2026) till further instructions. However, Interchange facility shall remain available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.

Giving information on social media platform X, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, ‘Service related update: The metro stations mentioned below will remain closed from 7:30 am on July 25, 2026 till further orders. However, interchange facility will be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
