Delhi: FRS cameras keep an eye on Jantar Mantar, 10 thousand people are still present, 3 thousand policemen also deployed.

The demonstration of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and students continues at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding NEET paper leak and resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Youth and students from all over the country are participating in this protest, in view of which a large number of policemen and security forces have been deployed at the spot. The situation remains very tense. There is a lot of politics going on regarding this issue.

Meanwhile, information has come to light about 130 Delhi Police personnel deployed for security getting injured during the protest. At the same time, about 65 students are also said to be injured. The police have so far registered 15 FIRs regarding the incidents that took place during the demonstration.

About 3 thousand policemen deployed

A large number of people are participating in the protest, in view of which Delhi Police has tightened security arrangements.
According to Delhi Police sources, on an average around 10 thousand people are present in and around Jantar Mantar every day. In view of the increasing number of protesters, about 3 thousand policemen have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward situation.

Surveillance through facial recognition system

Amidst the protests, Delhi Police is keeping a special vigil on the people reaching Jantar Mantar. According to police sources, the help of cameras with Facial Recognition System (FRS) is being taken for this. It is being told that through these cameras, the police is identifying people who already have a criminal record and who have reached Jantar Mantar to participate in the protest.

Identification of more than 2 thousand suspicious people

According to Delhi Police sources, till now more than 2 thousand people who have criminal records and who have reached Jantar Mantar have been identified through the facial recognition system. It is being told that some of the identified people are accused of creating a violence-like situation during the demonstration and instigating the crowd. Police say that the role of these people is being investigated. At present the police is continuously monitoring the situation.
