Chad le Clos, Commonwealth Games 2026: South Africa’s star swimmer Chad Le Clos has created history in the Commonwealth Games 2026. By winning the bronze medal in the men’s 4×100-metre freestyle relay event on July 24, he became the male athlete with the most medals in the history of the Commonwealth Games. Golden journey started from Delhi 2010

Chad Le Clos started his Commonwealth career in 2010 with the Commonwealth Games held in New Delhi. Then at the age of just 18, he proved his talent to the world by winning 5 medals. Glasgow 2026 is the fifth Commonwealth Games of his career. His journey in this tournament is not over yet. He will also participate in the 50 meter and 100 meter butterfly competitions, where he will have a chance to further increase his medal tally.

Veteran Chad Le Clos gets emotional after winning bronze

Chad Le Clos could not control his tears after this historic success at Tollcross Swimming Centre. He said on the official website of the Games, ‘I should not have cried for winning the bronze medal, but for winning the gold medal, but to be honest, this medal means as much to me as the whole world.’ Chad Le Clos’s journey of 19 medals in the Commonwealth Games includes 7 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze medals.
