The country’s politics has changed after the successful demonstration of students at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over the paper leak issue and the demand for the resignation of the Education Minister. PM Narendra Modi has also started emphasizing on youth communication. He himself has come on the youth’s favorite platform Instagram and is continuously communicating. Have asked your ministers to do the same. Not only this, the opposition has also started demanding that the age for contesting elections should be reduced to 21 years.
PM Modi posted a video addressing the students on Instagram on Thursday amid the students’ agitation last week, which left behind all the previous records and created a world record of 303 million or more than 303 crore views in 24 hours. To maintain his connect with Gen Z, PM Modi also posted more Insta videos.

Not only this, PM Modi also advised his cabinet ministers and other leaders to be active on Instagram. The PM himself is in constant touch with Gen Z youth amid the student movement. Yesterday on Sunday, the Prime Minister interacted with the youth through video conference under the Vibrant Village Program developed.

While communicating with the youth, he said, “For the youth of my country, the country comes first. One India and a better India will inspire other people too. Seeing your reels, your friends from Andhra Pradesh must have fallen into a coma. PM Modi called upon the youth to tell people about their visit and make people aware about it.”
BJP’s youth dialogue program in Delhi
Following the path of PM Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party has started a campaign to maintain contact with the youth. BJP Delhi President Harsh Malhotra organized “Youth Dialogue (Gen-Z with Modi) program” on Sunday. About 50 young students pursuing higher education in different universities and colleges of Delhi and some parents accompanying them participated in this program.
On this platform, the youth expressed their views on the protest organized by CJP at Jantar Mantar. However, he called this protest unfair and said that any movement should be inspired by positive thinking which unites the country and society. He says that during the protests, anti-Hindu and anti-national things were said, which are harmful for the unity and social harmony of the country.
Eye on Gen Z in Bankipur by-election
During the protest at Jantar Mantar, by-elections are being held on Bankipur seat of Bihar. There too, the Gen-Z community is being discussed extensively. Both the party and the opposition are trying to maintain good relations with the Gen-Z youth.
Prashant Kishor, who is contesting elections for the first time from Bankipur, said on the students’ agitation and lathi charge at Jantar Mantar, “This demonstration did not happen only at Jantar Mantar but took place in every corner of the country. The way students were beaten, its impact will be visible in Bankipur. It will be visible in Bengaluru. It will be visible in Kerala and it will also be visible in Gujarat.” Prashant Kishor is bringing youth on stage in his election campaign and is using them against the Modi government and the Samrat Chaudhary government of the state.
Manoj Tiwari’s communication with youth – selfie
Now BJP has also started trying to build good relations with the youth, especially the Gen-Z community, in Bankipur. Delhi MP and Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari contacted the youth through this campaign and also interacted with them. After this program, Manoj Tiwari also took a selfie with the students.

Before this, the opposition party is also engaged in a campaign to take sides with the youth. During the student movement, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has been continuously talking about the youth. He also met the injured students after the lathicharge on them. He was also talking about fighting for their rights. He is questioning the Modi government as to who had given the order to kill the students during the protest.
The opposition is also continuously trying to connect with the youth.
After communicating with students in Uttarakhand regarding the paper leak issue, Rahul Gandhi continued supporting the demands of the youth. In the presence of youth on PM Modi’s reel, the Congress leader said, “After ruining the future of crores of students, PM Modi, now do not waste their time with the midnight reel. Action should be taken against the culprits of the lathi charge and an apology should be made to the students. Nothing less than this will be accepted.”
There has been a demand from the opposition parties for some time to reduce the age for contesting elections. Now Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leader A. Revanth Reddy said that the age for contesting elections should be reduced from 25 to 21.
Demand to raise the age for contesting elections to 21 intensifies
He stressed that there is a great need to bring out the hidden leadership skills of the youth and involve them actively in shaping the future of the country. He appealed to the Center to amend the Constitution to reduce the minimum age for contesting Assembly and Lok Sabha elections from 25 years to 21 years.
Earlier, CM Reddy had announced on Saturday that the Telangana government will soon call a special session of the Assembly to pass a resolution demanding the Center to reduce the age for contesting Lok Sabha and Assembly elections to 21 years. He says that if 21 year old youth are eligible to become IAS and IPS officers then why can’t they contest elections.
