Government scared of Parliament march on 20th… Sanjay Singh targets government on Sonam Wangchuk issue

July 18, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Aam Aadmi Party has strongly criticized the action of forcibly abducting the famous educationist Sonam Wangchuk, who was on fast for 21 days, to the hospital and lathi-charging the youth. Senior AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh said that the Modi government is scared of Sonam Wangchuk’s call for a peaceful march to Parliament. Therefore, early in the morning, police was sent to Janata Mantar and lathi charged the youth and Sonam Wangchuk was forcibly admitted to the hospital, so that this movement could be crushed.

Sanjay Singh said that the 59 year old Sonam Wangchuk He was sitting on a fast unto death for the last 21 days and was risking his life to raise the voice of crores of youth of the country who were ruined by the 93 paper leaks. Those youth were helpless and there was no one to raise their voice. The Prime Minister of India did not talk to him for 21 days and did not even consider it necessary to send a tweet to appeal to end the fast. No representative of the government came to talk to them as to why they were willing to sacrifice their lives?

What kind of hooliganism is going on?
Modi ji, this arrogance of power does not last long.
The youth on whom you are swinging your stick will uproot your throne.
a person @Wangchuk66 Instead of listening to the demands of the person who has been on fast unto death for the last 21 days, he was forcibly arrested and admitted to the hospital. https://t.co/N6cuofEYhD

Police force suddenly surrounded Jantar Mantar – Sanjay Singh

Sanjay Singh said that suddenly the police force reached there and surrounded Jantar Mantar, used batons on the youth and forcibly picked up Sonam Wangchuk and admitted her to the hospital. This was done because he had called upon the people, youth, MPs and MLAs of the country on 20th July that on 20th July we will march peacefully from Jantar Mantar towards the Parliament from where the Parliament session is about to begin.

Such arrogance of power is not good – Sanjay Singh

Sanjay Singh said that I want to tell Modi ji that it is not good to be so arrogant in power that you lathicharge every person, shoot bullets at every person and release tear gas shells on every person. Sometimes crush the farmers’ movement, sometimes crush the youth’s movement and sometimes crush the mothers-sisters’ movement, this is not good politics.

Sanjay Singh said that this young man will end this arrogance of power and the one on whom sticks are being beaten today will uproot this power. Therefore, I want to appeal to the youth of the country to support Sonam Wangchuk and not let her movement weaken.
