Commonwealth Games 2026 Medals Tally List: India won its first gold medal on the fourth day of Commonwealth Games 2026. As expected, the one who won that gold medal was India’s star weightlifter Mirabai Chanu. The gold he won had an impact on India’s position in the medal tally. Not only that gold but apart from that, the two silver medals that India won in the fourth day’s play also played a big role. All these successes have placed India at number 8 in the medal tally of the Commonwealth Games 2026 comprising 74 countries.

India won its first medal in para powerlifting

Won 3 medals including 1 gold in weightlifting

Weightlifter Rishikanta Singh won the silver medal for India in the men’s 60 kg weight category. In the women’s 48 kg weight category, weightlifter Mirabai Chanu gave the country its first gold in the 23rd Commonwealth Games. Apart from this, Indian weightlifter M. Raja won the silver medal in men’s 65 kg weight category.

1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze… India at number 8

India has won a total of 4 medals so far in the Commonwealth Games 2026, which includes 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze. With these 4 medals, India has jumped one place to 8th rank in the medal tally.
