Today a car ran over the crowd during Berlin’s famous LGBTQ+ parade. One person died and at least 15 people were injured in this accident. After this, the police canceled the program which started in the German capital after a few hours. Police said that some of the injured have suffered life-threatening injuries. Firefighters, ambulance and many emergency personnel were present on the spot to help the injured.
In a post on X, the police asked everyone to vacate the venue immediately. According to police, a car entered Tiergarten Park near the Pride March route and hit several people.

Lakhs of people came to participate in Berlin’s Pride Parade on Saturday. In Germany it is known as ‘Christopher Street Day’. It is one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in Europe. The Pride event, being held in front of the city’s famous Brandenburg Gate, was canceled at around 10:15 pm and the performance of a band playing on the stage was stopped.
People were urged to go home and avoid passing through Tiergarten Park. Before this incident, people had celebrated peacefully. They marched through the city for hours, dancing to loud music and cheering on the approximately 80 floats participating in the parade.
