Former Chief Minister of West Bengal and TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee gave a big statement on Wednesday. Attacking the Shubhendu government, he said that the culture and social harmony of Bengal has deteriorated in the last two months. Along with brotherhood, women’s safety has also been affected. He surrounded the leaders who left TMC and said that BJP lacks organization. That’s why he has included some ‘traitors’ with him.
Former Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee said that we were defeated forcefully. One day this will be proved. I respect the police but they are acting like BJP workers and threatening our leaders to either join BJP or switch sides, otherwise they will have to go to jail. Mamta said that if I had compromised, we would not have had to face all this, but I would not have sold my conscience. I feel bad for those who voted for the candidates contesting on our party’s election symbol. “The only people who are changing sides are those who are a burden.”
Taking aim at the BJP government, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee said that many beneficiaries have been deprived of the benefits of Annapurna Bhandar and other schemes. Students in schools are hungry because the state government has removed eggs from the lunch menu. The present government is working to stop the scheme run by TMC for the poor. Mamta said that the government should think about the menu provided to the students.
1.5 crore names removed from ‘Lakshmi Bhandar’ scheme
Mamata Banerjee further said, “We never gave up our struggle. I say again that when we were in power, the central government had stopped all our funding. Despite this, we started 105 projects for the common people. Today I see on different YouTube and digital platforms that about 1.5 crore names have been removed from the ‘Lakshmi Bhandar’ scheme.
Mamta’s important statement about Abhishek
Mamata Banerjee said, “Today Abhishek seems ‘very bad’ to you (rebel TMC leaders). Don’t you remember how his wife went to CBI with their children? If he wanted, he could have got relief through some ‘fix’ or agreement. Even if he made a mistake, he recovered from it and proved himself, because he fights like a lion.”
Fear will be the reason for BJP’s downfall
Accusing the BJP, he said, “They are dissolving the municipalities by showing fear. They are forcefully taking over the district councils and Panchayat Gram Sabhas. We were forcefully defeated in the elections. When they lose power at the Centre, fear will be the reason for their downfall. BJP is misusing agencies and central forces. The police are acting like agents of the BJP. TMC workers are not being allowed to hold meetings.”
