At that time the Chief Minister of the state was Buddhadev Bhattacharya. Security forces had to be deployed to control the situation. After that Taslima never returned to Kolkata. Although during Mamata Banerjee’s tenure he had expressed his desire to return to Kolkata, it was not possible.

According to reports, ‘Secular Mission’ and ‘For West Bengal’ programs have been organized at Ravindra Sadan. An organizer told that ‘Taslima is coming. She will come to Kolkata after 18 years.
