Many players of Indian origin have played international cricket for Australia before. Gurindhar Sandhu and Tanveer Sangha are such names. But Nikhil Chaudhary, who was born in India and plays cricket for Australia, will be the second till now. In the year 1964, a Gujarat-born leg spinner named Rex Sellers made his debut for the Australian men’s team in the Kolkata Test.
Nikhil Chaudhary is not an Australian citizen. But they are always there. He played 14 matches for his state team Punjab in India. Nikhil, who had played with Harbhajan Singh, Shubhman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, had gone to his uncle’s house in Queensland, Australia during Corona and while staying there, he started fulfilling his dream of playing cricket for Australia.
