‘Babar in heart, Ram in mouth’… Political ruckus over controversial hoarding of Akhilesh in Sitapur, SP MP burns poster

July 14, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Politics has heated up over the controversial hoarding of Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav. It is being told that SP MP Anand Bhadauria has attacked the government regarding this controversial hoarding installed on the bypass near Kanshiram Colony of Sitapur. SP MPs reached the spot first and took down the hoarding and set it on fire.

During this, SP MP Anand Bhadauria termed such an act as a cowardly act and made serious allegations against the Information Department. He also lashed out heavily at BJP. He has demanded a fair investigation from the local administration and strict action against the culprits regarding this entire matter. Earlier on June 22 also, a similar case of controversial hoardings being put up in the city had come to light. At that time, controversial hoardings were put up outside the city on the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway Bypass.

Controversial remarks on Mulayam and Akhilesh

It is being told that controversial remarks were made by putting photos of Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav in the controversial hoarding. “Babar in the heart, Ram in the mouth” was written in the poster. After receiving the information, SP MP Anand Bhadauria reached the spot, took down the poster and burnt it. Even before this, SP MPs had taken down similar controversial posters, torn them and burnt them.

Who put up the controversial hoarding?

However, there was no name of any person, institution or organization on that hoarding. Its installation on the National Highway sparked discussion among commuters and local people. MP Anand Bhadauria alleged that this is not the work of any local person, rather the government machinery (especially the Information Department) may be involved in it.

Will make a strategy to stop

He said that this matter will be brought to the notice of the party leadership and a strategy will be made to counter it. He alleged that efforts are being made to spoil the atmosphere of the state by putting up such hoardings. Since then, political rhetoric on this issue has intensified.

Local administration kept silence

At the same time, there has been no official confirmation about the identity of the person or organization responsible for putting up the hoarding, nor has the administration issued any official statement on the matter. In a way, the local administration has maintained silence on this matter.
