According to Drik Panchang, Ashadh Purnima Tithi will start on July 28, 2026 at 6.18 pm. It will end on July 29, 2026 at 8:05 pm. Since Purnima Tithi will be at the time of sunrise on 29th July, hence according to Udaya Tithi, the festival of bathing, charity, fasting and puja will be celebrated on this day.
Most auspicious time for bathing and donating
According to religious belief, taking bath in Brahma Muhurta on the day of Ashadh Purnima is considered most auspicious. On this day, it is considered appropriate to take bath in a holy river between 4:00 am and 6:00 am. If it is not possible to go to the river, then one can take bath at home by mixing Ganga water in the bathing water. After this, worshiping, donating and chanting Lord Vishnu is considered especially fruitful. However, this day is considered auspicious time for bathing, worship and charity throughout the day.
