
National Film Awards 2026: The 72nd edition of the National Film Awards was announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Saturday, July 18, 2026. During this, the best performance in different categories of art field was honored. At the same time, writers who made people aware through their writings on art and culture were also honored. In this sequence, TV9 Bharatvarsh’s assistant editor and writer Sanjeev Srivastava was honored with the National Award for his commendable work in the cinema world.
Talking about Sanjeev Srivastava, his ancestral village is in Sitamarhi, Bihar, but he has been active in the media industry from Delhi to Mumbai for the last two and a half decades. He has skills ranging from breaking news to creative writing. He has been writing openly on subjects like domestic and foreign politics, films, literature, crime etc. He likes to write easily understandable and thought-provoking language. Cinema is his favorite subject – hence till now he has written three books, two novels and some screenplays and dialogues on films.

What did Sanjeev Srivastava say on this occasion?
Expressing his happiness on receiving the National Award, Sanjeev Srivastava said – “Everyone definitely feels happy when the announcement of receiving the National Award is made. I am also extremely happy. This shows that your work has been properly evaluated. Receiving the National Award from the President will be a big achievement in life. I was given complete freedom to write on cinema on the Hindi website of TV 9 Bharatvarsh. I want to express my gratitude to my organization for this. To all my senior respected colleagues. I want to thank that this honor has been given to me because of TV9. Thank you.”
