Many big celebrities have participated in the first resolution program in New Delhi on 18 July 2026 regarding Nitesh Tiwari’s much awaited Ramayana. At the event, the actors of this most awaited film addressed the Delhi media and also shared their experiences of working on Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor, who is going to play the lead role of Shriram, also came on stage and gave a speech, in which he gave credit to Arun Govil for the inspiration for his role.
Veteran actor Arun Govil played the role of Maryada Purushottam Shriram in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic play ‘Ramayana’ and even today his brilliant acting is appreciated. Even today a large section of the audience still knows him as Lord Ram. Ranbir Kapoor has expressed his gratitude to Arun Govil for his brilliant acting and has also called him an inspiration.
Arun Govil will play the role of Dasharatha
Arun Govil had played the lead role of Shri Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’, but this time he is going to play the role of King Dasharatha in Nitish Kumar’s ‘Ramayana’, that is, he will be seen in the role of Shri Ram’s father.
Told Arun Govil as a guide
In his speech, Ranbir Kapoor has described Arun Govil as his guide. He started his speech by saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and said, “You (Arun Govil) have presented this responsibility with such beauty, truthfulness and dignity over the years. This journey of yours has helped actors like me, not just me, every person has seen Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. You have given them confidence and inspiration. Just as you have brought Lord Shri Ram within yourself, if I can do even this much, then my hard work will be successful and will bear fruit. Since childhood, Sir has been following Lord Shri Ram. Grew up with blessings and your face in my heart.”
Ranbir Singh got eye infection
Ranbir Kapoor arrived at the ‘Pehla Sankalp’ event organized for ‘Ramayana’ wearing black colored glasses. He told that he has been suffering from conjunctivitis (eye infection), so to avoid spreading it, he has to wear dark glasses.
‘Ramayana’ is a multi-starrer big budget film.
The film Ramayana is a big budget movie and big names are working in it. There is a lot of buzz about the film and it is expected that it will prove to be a big hit. For now, only the audience will decide this. Sai Pallavi will play the role of Mother Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Sunny Deol will be seen in the role of Hanumanji, while actor Yash is playing the role of Ravana and Kajal Aggarwal is playing the role of Lankapati’s wife Mandodari. While Ravi Dubey has played Laxman, famous faces like Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, Indira Krishnan, Shobhana, Vivek Oberoi, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor are going to be seen in the film.
