Due to excess moisture, strange smell can also be felt, AC can help in managing this problem. Apart from cooling the room, the AC also removes some moisture from the air.
How the AC is used determines how well the AC controls humidity.
Using the right mode, temperature and fan settings can make a big difference. To better control humidity during monsoon, we are going to tell you some ways of using AC which you should note.
dry mode
Many AC Come with dry mode, this mode is designed to reduce moisture in the air. When this mode is on, the AC operates differently from the regular cooling mode and removes more moisture without cooling the room too much.
Keep the temperature between 24 degrees to 26 degrees.
Avoid setting the AC to a very low temperature, such as 16-degree Celsius or 18-degree Celsius. Instead, keep the temperature between 24 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius. With this, the AC not only cools the room but also removes moisture from the air.
Clean AC filter regularly
Dust and moisture can accumulate on the AC filter during monsoon. Dirty filters restrict airflow and can reduce the moisture removal efficiency of the AC. They may also emit a strange smell; the filters should be checked and cleaned regularly.
