Every day something or the other is seen on the streets of Bengaluru, which attracts people’s attention. Sometimes there is long traffic jam, sometimes there are queues of vehicles for hours due to rain and sometimes due to breakdown of some vehicle the entire route comes to a halt. But this time the sight that was seen surprised everyone and also forced them to smile. A Mahindra Thar pulled out a BMTC bus that broke down in the middle of the road and within no time this incident became a topic of discussion on social media.
The incident took place when a BMTC bus suddenly broke down on a busy road in Bengaluru. The bus stopped midway, due to which a long queue of vehicles following behind started forming. Within a few minutes there was a huge traffic jam on the road. Office goers, school buses, bike riders and car drivers all got stuck in the jam. Everyone was thinking that now the recovery vehicle will come to remove the bus and only then will the road be opened, but then a person present there took a decision which no one had expected. He came forward with his Mahindra Thar and took upon himself the responsibility of towing the broken bus and taking it off the road.
What did the guy do?
At first the people present nearby did not believe that an SUV would be able to pull a big city bus, but within some time the Thar came in front of the bus and slowly started moving forward pulling it. This scene was no less than a film scene for the people present there. People standing on the roadside, passengers sitting in other vehicles and people nearby all watched this scene with surprise. Many people immediately took out their mobile phones and started recording this moment on camera. Within no time the video reached social media and people shared it a lot.
The bus was slowly moved to a safe place on the side of the road, thereby opening the way for other vehicles. After this the traffic started becoming normal and people heaved a sigh of relief. If the bus had remained standing in the middle of the road for a long time, the jam could have increased even more. In such a situation, the Thar driver’s understanding and sense of immediate help reduced the major problem to a great extent. After the video went viral, people reacted strongly to this incident on social media. Someone wrote that anything can be seen in Bengaluru. One user jokingly said that here people find their own solutions to deal with the traffic. Another user wrote that this is not just the power of a vehicle, but an example of the thinking of helping on time.
Many people also praised the capability of Mahindra Thar. He said that this SUV, famous for off-roading and difficult roads, was once again successful in showing its strength. However, some people also said that the biggest praise should go to the driver who came forward and helped without any hesitation. If he wanted, he could have just stood by and watched like everyone else, but he took the initiative and contributed to handling the situation.
