
During AISA’s Bihar Bandh in Patna, police clashed with some students gathered between Dak Bungalow intersection and station in Patna. The police used mild force. The students also pelted stones at the police and the students have now been dispersed. Some protestors were detained and sent away. Tej Pratap Yadav also reached Patna. After reaching Gandhi Maidan, Tej Pratap Yadav supported the Bihar bandh today. Tej Pratap Yadav has said that the Education Minister will have to resign.
In view of the Bihar Bandh in Chapra, the district administration kept tight security arrangements. During this, a large number of district administration and police administration officers were deployed at all the major intersections. The largest crowd of protesting students gathered at Police Station Chowk and Municipality Chowk in the city and sporadic violence was also carried out by the students at many places while raising slogans against the government.

CPI-M MLA Sandeep Saurabh arrested
Earlier, CPI (ML) MLA Sandeep Saurabh was arrested on Friday on charges of allegedly inciting violence in connection with the violent protest that took place in Patna three days ago against the NEET paper leak. The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
Saurabh took part in the protest organized by All India Students Association (AISA) on 22 July in Patna. This demonstration turned violent, in which BJP leaders were attacked and their vehicles were vandalized. The ruling NDA MLAs had reacted sharply to Saurabh’s role in this case and accused him of inciting violence during the protest.
