
Hyderabad News: Police has taken major action in the case of sexual harassment registered against a trainee IPS officer in Hyderabad. After the case was registered about 10 days ago, the police have taken the accused trainee IPS officer Udaya Krishna Reddy into custody. Police say that after medical examination he will be presented in the court.
Female trainee made serious allegations
This case is related to the complaint lodged at Attapur police station on July 18. A 30-year-old female trainee officer alleged that Udaya Krishna Reddy was continuously harassing her mentally and sexually since June 23. According to the complaint, the accused sent obscene and derogatory WhatsApp messages to the woman, used abusive language and made inappropriate comments several times. The woman alleges that due to this she remained under constant mental stress.

Also accused of assault and threatening
The woman also alleged in her complaint that Udaya Krishna Reddy forcibly snatched her mobile phone and pressurized her to reveal the password. After this, they locked her in the room, pulled her hair, tried to strangulate her and threatened her with a knife. The woman also said that the accused had stopped her from leaving the room.
Allegation of recording and sending private video
The complaint also said that the accused secretly recorded a private video of the woman. Later he allegedly sent the video to the woman’s husband and tried to blackmail and intimidate him. The woman also alleges that on July 10, the accused assaulted her again.
Case registered under several sections
Based on the complaint of the woman, Attapur police has registered a case under various sections of BNS. Apart from this, a case has also been registered under Section 66E (violation of privacy) and Section 67A (sending obscene material through electronic means) of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
The accused called the allegations false
On the other hand, Udaya Krishna Reddy has posted on social media and termed all the allegations against him as false. He said that false propaganda is being carried out against him and he has full faith in the justice system. He says that the truth will come out once the investigation is completed.
Police arrested him after absconding
According to the police, after being discharged from the hospital, Udaya Krishna Reddy had gone missing from both the addresses given by him. His mobile phone was also found switched off. After this, the police formed four special teams to search for him. Finally, on Tuesday, he was taken into custody from the outskirts of Hyderabad.
At present the police is interrogating the accused. After medical examination he will be presented in the court. At the same time, the investigation of the case is going on. Police say that all the allegations will be investigated impartially and further legal action will be taken.
