
Suneil Anand Passed Away: A sad news has come to light regarding Sunil Anand, son of late Hindi cinema veteran actor Dev Anand. Sunil Anand has passed away at the age of 70. According to the information, Sunil breathed his last in a hospital in London. The cause of his death is said to be heart attack. Even though Sunil Anand was not as popular as his father, there was a time when he tried to make a place in Bollywood like his father. Despite belonging to a film family, Sunil Anand could not make a special place in Bollywood. He studied Business Administration from American University, Washington DC, USA. After completing his education, he followed his father’s path and tried his luck in films.
Sunil Anand’s debut film
In the year 1984, he entered Bollywood with the film ‘Anand Aur Anand’. It was his father Dev Anand himself who brought him into this film. Actors like Rakhi, Smita Patil and Biswajit Chatterjee were also with him in the film, but the audience did not like the film. After that he acted in films like ‘Car Thief’, ‘Main Tere Liye’, but due to continuous unsuccessful films, he could not succeed in making his own identity in the industry. He did not achieve the success that was expected from him. Continuous unsuccessful films had put brakes on his film career.
Even the comeback attempt did not work
After four consecutive flops, Sunil Anand distanced himself from acting. After many years, he tried to make a comeback in the year 2001 with a martial arts based film named ‘Master’. He himself directed this film. However, this experiment was also not successful and the film could not live up to the expectations of the audience. After that Sunil left acting completely. That means he was not seen in any film in the last 25 years.
Took over the responsibility of production house after Dev Anand
Sunil Anand remained associated with his father as an assistant director in Navketan Films till his last days. After the death of Dev Anand in 2011, he took over the responsibility of the production house and tried to carry forward his father’s legacy as a producer. However, he could not succeed in making Navketan Films the same success as before.
Talking about personal life, Sunil Anand never married. However, the actor never talked openly about this, because he liked to keep his personal life private.
