Amid the growing controversy over E20 petrol, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal today started the “Stop E20 Petrol” online signature campaign. He had announced this recently. Arvind Kejriwal told that through StopE20petrol.com people can register their voice by signing the petition in the name of the Prime Minister.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the government is imposing E20 petrol on the country without proper preparation, while lakhs of vehicle owners are complaining of decreasing mileage, engine failure and increasing expenses. Despite this, instead of listening to the concerns of the people, the government is busy calling everything normal.
Government’s responsibility to listen to the public – AAP
AAP’s national coordinator Said that in a democracy, it is the responsibility of the government to listen to the people, but the Modi government is not ready to give any option to the people. People want the option of pure petrol, E10 and E20 at petrol pumps, so that they can choose the fuel as per their need. But the government is refusing to accept this also.
Yesterday I wrote a letter to the Prime Minister.
Let us together raise our voice against E20. Click on the link below and sign the petition in the name of the Prime Minister. Also share your experiences with the Prime Minister.https://t.co/YUCS3YFl4U pic.twitter.com/qci8Ja6QPg

Kejriwal said that due to low energy efficiency of E20 petrol, mileage also reduces, yet its price is not being made equal to or less than normal petrol. This is causing a double blow to the common and middle class. On one hand the cost of vehicles is increasing, on the other hand we have to pay more money on fuel also.
Vehicle owners complained about reduction in mileage
In the last few days, while visiting petrol pumps and service stations and talking to people, a large number of vehicle owners complained about problems related to mileage, fuel pump, injector and engine. Many people said that the cost of service and repair of vehicles has increased significantly compared to earlier.
There should be alternative to pure petrol and E20 – Kejriwal
Kejriwal said that if the government has to implement E20, then at least people should be given the option of both pure petrol and E20 and the price of E20 should also be reduced. He alleged that the government is ignoring the problems of the people and trying to suppress their voice.
Kejriwal appealed to the people across the country
He has appealed to the people across the country to sign the “Stop E20 Petrol” campaign by visiting StopE20petrol.com and demanding the government to stop imposing E20 petrol without preparation, give people options and respect their concerns.
