Sonam Wangchuk discharged from Medanta, said – will pay homage to Bapu by going to Rajghat, then will move to the mountains

Activist Sonam Wangchuk has finally been discharged from Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. : He was on fast for 26 days in the NEET paper leak case. Recently, he was shifted from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital, where a team of doctors was monitoring his health. Now he is completely fine and is going back to his home from the hospital. Sonam Wangchuk has shared a video on social media. In which he is seen sitting on a chair in the hospital room. During this, he expressed happiness and said that he is being discharged from the hospital today and he will go to Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

‘Finally that day has come…’

Wangchuk said in the video, ‘And finally that day has come. I am being discharged from the hospital. Before going back home to Ladakh, I will go to Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi and then return to the mountains. He said that now he is feeling much better than before.

remained on hunger strike for 26 days

Wangchuk had gone on a hunger strike during the demonstration at Jantar Mantar by the Cockroach Party. He joined the movement on June 28 and remained on fast for 26 days. On July 18, Sonam was picked up by the police from Jantar Mantar and admitted to Safdarjung Hospital. After this he was shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. On July 24, he ended his fast after the government’s assurance.
