British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Monday that the use of social media apps will be banned for all minors under the age of 16 for the well-being and safety of children. In a speech from 10 Downing Street in London, Starmer said his decision was the right one as a prime minister and as a father of young children.
He acknowledged that it would not be easy to impose such a ban on some of the world’s biggest technology companies, but the health and well-being of children was of utmost importance.

Nowadays the environment is deteriorating to such an extent that if a child is not eating, they are given a phone. Due to mobile phones, physical activity of children has almost stopped. The mental health of children is affected due to watching mobile phones. The Prime Minister of our country should also take such a step.
