Alia expressed concern over Assam floods

Alia Bhatt has written a post on her Instagram story for the Assam flood affected people and expressed concern. The actress wrote – “At present, many parts of our country are affected by floods, but Assam is one of the most affected states and the people there are going through a very difficult time. So far, more than 60 people have lost their lives. Lakhs of people have been forced to leave their homes. Many families have lost their houses, land and cattle, while some people have also lost their loved ones forever.”

She further wrote, “This happens every year, but still we are not fully prepared for it. At this time, Assam needs immediate relief and for a long time to come, the people there will need help to return to normal life. If you are wondering how you can help, then in the next few days I will share information about those organizations which are doing relief work at the ground level. Through them, we all can together help the flood victims.”
