According to religious belief, by observing fast on Sawan Monday, one gets the blessings of Lord Shiva and wishes are fulfilled. In the year 2026, the holy month of Saavan will start from 30th July and continue till 28th August. During this period there will be a total of four Sawan Mondays. What can be eaten during the fast of Sawan Monday?

Banana, apple, pomegranate, papaya, orange, grapes and other seasonal fruits can be consumed during the fast.

Onion and garlic are also not consumed during the fast of Sawan Monday. During the fast, emphasis is laid on keeping the food satvik.
